Beginnings
I met Cristina in early 2002 on the desert island of Curaçao.
I asked her why she never mentioned her love for creating her own art and she said she had always loved to draw, took some classes just after high school, but life took her other directions and she just recently felt the urge to pick it back up.
It was that day I committed to making sure Cristina had every opportunity to pursue her talent.
And she has done so with a passion ever since.
In late 2019, inspired by all the hard work, the many classes she has taken and the excellent professors she’s worked with, I suggested she consider presenting her art publicly through the medium of the internet. She said, “YES!” and this was the birth of CristiArt.

CONOCÍ A CRISTINA A PRINCIPIOS DE 2002 EN LA ISLA DESIERTA DE CURAZAO.
SIETE MESES DESPUÉS NOSCASAMOS.
UN DÍA, POCO DESPUÉS, LLEGUÉ A CASA PARA ENCONTRARLA CON UN LIBRO DE FOTOGRAFÍAS DE PÁJAROS, UN CUADERNO DE DIBUJO EN BLANCO EN LA MESA DEL COMEDOR Y PASTELES EN LA MANO. LE PREGUNTÉ SI PODÍA MIRAR Y VI QUE HABÍA MUCHOS DIBUJOS EN EL CUADERNO DE BOCETOS YA TERMINADOS.
– AQUÍ HAY UNA MUESTRA DE ESE TRABAJO –
Le pregunté por qué nunca mencionó su amor por crear su propio arte y dijo que siempre le había encantado dibujar, tomó algunas clases justo después de la escuela secundaria, pero la vida tomó sus otras direcciones y recientemente sintió la necesidad de retomarlo.
Fue ese día cuando me comprometí a asegurarme de que Cristina tuviera todas las oportunidades para perseguir su talento.
Y lo ha hecho con pasión desde entonces.
A fines de 2019, inspirada por todo el trabajo duro, las muchas clases que ha tomado y los excelentes profesores con los que ha trabajado, le sugerí que considerara presentar su arte públicamente a través de Internet. ¡Ella dijo que sí!” y este fue el nacimiento de CristiArt.
